Maikel winning bronze in Bejing 2010 .  

GTLF want to realize Maikel’s dream to be no 1 in the world and win the golden medaille in London 2010. To achieve these goals, GTLF will create with his current coaching staff the best possible program to reach his goals.GTLF is in process to formalize with his current employer Van Den Udenhout PON car dealer that Maikel can start playing full time tennis with the support of his employer. GTLF and Maikel would like to express his gratitude already to General Director Kurt Verhees and his team for this possible opportunity and hope to formalize it very soon. On top of this GTLF is exploring extra financial support for Maikels professional program and they will coordinate and manage Maikels professional team. At this moment our global tennis experts & advisors Mark Kalkman, Sven Groeneveld and Aad Zwaan are closely involved in Maikels development.
GTLF will also reenergize Maikels Foundation. The objectives of Maikels foundation is to organize 4 sports events per year for handicapped children to introduce them to Sports. The second objective is to promote wheelchair tennis in Holland and initiate & support wheelchair tennis programs at 4 top tennis academies in Holland. Maikel would like to contribute to the "next generation" wheel chair tennis (sport) players and leave a personal, sport & educational legacy to handicapped children by introducing them to sports.
